Segway renews its high-end range of scooters: all-terrain power, 80 km real autonomy and new certification standards

its market Electric scooter It has ceased to be an area focused solely on leisure and has become a real option for daily mobility for thousands of users. However, the biggest headache when buying a Personal Mobility Vehicle (PMV) is the gap between the autonomy promised by the manufacturer and the actual kilometers travelled.

To address this imbalance and strengthen its position in the upper range, Segway presents its two new flagships: the All Terrain Segway ZT3 MAX (available for reservation for 999 euros) and long-distance models Segway Ninebot MAX G3 Pro (which can be pre-booked for 1,099 euros). The key conceptual innovation that accompanies these two launches is not just in their engines or chassis, but in the clarity of their technical specifications. So far, the Autonomy Calculations were made with closed circuit, at very low speeds (15 km/h or Eco mode) and with light users as declared by most manufacturers.

Segway, together with the independent entity TÜV Rheinland, applied the seal “The range at max. speed“. This method tests the scooters and pushes them to 100% of the maximum allowed speed (25 km/h in Europe) and stops the measurement as soon as the vehicle is not able to maintain at least 60% of that speed. Thus, the declared figures reflect. actual performance which users will find in their daily journey.
