2026 could be the strongest year in terms of Apple launches. Although the events are not so long ago, with WWDC and iPhone keynotes, this year the Californian company presented many devices through press releases. After the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone Duo, Apple has introduced its new devices for the home and now it’s time to fill in those missing from the equation.
Because this October 28th, Apple is planning an event called “Pro and Tell” and it will showcase the products we’ve been waiting for years, with the touch MacBook as the absolute hero.
paladin. The MacBook Pro was refreshed late last year with the M5, and a more powerful version of that generation of Apple silicon arrives this early 2026. However, after every presentation of a MacBook, there was the question of when they would be excited with a touchscreen laptop. We know it wasn’t something Jobs liked, but we also know that Apple has been working on a MacBook with at least one touch screen since 2018.
In Mark Gurman’s latest newsletter at Bloomberg, the journalist says that this Wednesday will be when we see that long-awaited MacBook Pro with OLED and touch panels. According to MacRumors, it is expected to be sold in 14- and 16-inch ‘flavors’ and furthermore, instead of a notch, they will include something similar to the iPhone’s Dynamic Island.
“We’ve done a lot of user testing, but they don’t work. After a short time you start to get tired and after a long time, you feel like your hand is falling off. They’re ergonomically terrible” – Steve Jobs on laptop touch screens
squires. This new product will compete in a market that is not within the reach of the iPad or the traditional MacBook, which is convertible. And you won’t be alone:
- M6 processor – The base MacBook Pro will also be updated, going from the M5 to the new M6 that both the Mac mini and Studio already included a few weeks ago. On the other hand, the iMac will also move from the M4 of two years ago to the new M6, adding Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. In this case, it would be a simple chip change, nothing to renew aesthetic sections or connections.
- iPad mini OLED – This is, perhaps, one of the most requested devices. We’ll see if there are any changes in design, but the simple fact of betting on an OLED panel will be an unquestionable leap in quality when it comes to the content consumption experience for the little one in the family.
when. Apparently, it comes from the leak and its last post Gurman, But what Apple has confirmed is that there will be a media event called “Pro and Tel” where you can play with the new equipment. There will be 10 a.m., 7 p.m. Spanish Peninsula Time, so we’ll be here to say it.
Also, according to Gurman, the new equipment will go on sale starting Friday, October 6.

great unknown. Price, of course. As things are, we have already seen that no one hesitates to raise prices, and Apple has recently shown us the prices of the iPhone Pro, Mac and even the ‘normal’ iPhone 17, which is now 100 euros more expensive.
Right now, the MacBook Pro M5 starts at 2,229 euros, and the iMac starts at 1,819 euros, so we’ll have to wait to see what happens with the M6. For its part, the iPad mini starts at 679 euros. The big question is to see where the completely new category, like the MacBook Pro with a touch screen, is located, and also to see which processor it equips: if the M6 โโor it debuts directly with the M5 Pro.
Because it’s another, interesting move to be able to sell more expensive equipment is to drop a MacBook Pro MX with a basic chip that gets renewed every year, and the MX Pro and MX Ultra models are just MacBook Pros with a touch screen. But hey, again, only a few days left to test it.
