Netflix ‘ Its ten episodes premiere todayCyberpunk: Edgerunners 2′: An independent story with new characters and a second time with Studio Trigger leading the animation. We already know what it guarantees us: highly stylized aesthetics, unbridled ultra-violence and, at the very least, several vivid visual concepts per shot. ‘Cyberpunk is still on a roll, and who was going to tell us a few years ago.
In December 2020, the name ‘cyberpunk’ was synonymous with bungling. Sony removed the video game ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ from the PlayStation Store a week after its launch and offered refunds to all its buyers. Reason: A bug-ridden launch that turned the title into a laughingstock However, its creator, CD Projekt Red, did not throw in the towel and embarked on a meticulous plan to restore the franchise’s status. Which not only cleans up the error game, but also has a series of exciting parallel releases like this ‘Edgerunners’, which was chosen as the anime of the year in 2023 by Crunchyroll users.
Trigger Studios turns an open-world RPG into a ten-chapter tragedy thanks to insane animation I drank from ‘Kill La Kill’ and Akira Yamaoka’s brutal music. Screenwriter Bartosz Stybor said they chose Trigger to take on the project because his bright palette contrasted with the very sad story of the first one. On this occasion we edgerunner The legend that Chrome and Halo lost; D, a netrunner Nomad with a pending revenge; and Roman Carax, a young film buff who records other people’s lives in a city that changed cinema for neurodance. Do you understand something? Half? This is part of the charm of ‘cyberpunk’.
And the cast of the series continues, providing a hyperactive and frantic fresco of this merciless future world that already hints that it will rarely find a happy ending: for example, Talia grew up in the corporate tower and later cut her teeth with Maelstrom, a gang obsessed with chrome; His mother, Avida, a former jazz singer, is now married to a Kang Tao manager. Oh, and as a tip, we’ll abandon the nocturnal nature that Night City boasts from its very name. This time we will see many cities during the day and very well.
